Update On Major AEW Star’s Future Amid WWE Move Rumors
Reports of a top AEW talent being bound for WWE have dominated the wrestling world lately.
In June 2025, Jonathan Coachman broke the news on his The Last Word podcast that Britt Baker was headed to the Stamford-based company.
Fightful Report had refuted his claim, saying Baker had signed a five-year contract with AEW in 2021.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the topic on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, when Meltzer claimed not to have heard anything of note.

Britt Baker has not appeared on AEW programming since November 2024. Meanwhile, reports have also surfaced about her having backstage heat.
At present, there is no update regarding her return date.
Nothing has reportedly changed in regards to Britt Baker’s status in AEW, amid rumors of her seeking an exit from the company:

2025 Witnessed Mass Transition Of Talent From AEW To WWE
The year 2025 has been significant for WWE in terms of talent acquisition, particularly from AEW.
Mariah May, rebranded now as Blake Monroe, was the latest talent to leave the Florida-based company.
Before her, other stars who jumped ship are Rusev, Penta, Rey Fenix, Aleister Black, Ricky Saints, and Ethan Page.
As rumors of Britt Baker’s move to WWE persist, it will be exciting to see if they come to fruition, potentially marking the company’s best acquisition this year.
