Update On Lita’s Future With WWE
After being attacked by Trish Stratus on Raw, a new report has attempted to shed light on WWE’s future plans for Lita.
On the 6th of February edition of Monday Night Raw, the main event saw Bayley take on Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage match. Despite the metal structure being there to keep the action contained and those not involved out, the bout was riddled with interference from Bayley’s Damage CTRL teammates IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. But help was on hand for Lynch.
The crowd in Orlando, Florida came unglued however when Lita’s music hit and the four-time WWE Women’s Champion made her way to the ring to help The Man. Lita dropped SKY with a Twist of Fate and in the ring, Lynch hit Bayley with the Man-Handle Slam to pick up the victory.
Since then Lita and Lynch became WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and even teamed with Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 39 to defeat Damage CTRL.
But things have gone downhill for the sta in a hurry. Lita was seen backstage on the April 10th edition of Raw having been attacked before her and Lynch’s title defence later in the night. Trish Stratus took her fellow WWE Hall of Famer’s place but lost the match and then attacked Becky Lynch afterwards, later revealing that she’d taken out her old rival as well.
PWInsider Elite has reported that Lita has not been at any WWE shows since she was taken out on Raw and there are no concrete plans for her to be used going forward.
Previous reports have that Trish Stratus is set for a showdown with Lynch in a one-on-one match but not until SummerSlam. Whether Lita returns to feud with Stratus and attempts to get revenge remains to be seen.
