Clarification On Karrion Kross & Scarlett’s WWE Future
Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s contracts reportedly expire in August.
The Devil You Know’s future has been subject to speculation in recent weeks, especially after he cut an explosive promo on the WrestleMania Recap, where he seemingly called out WWE higher-ups for overlooking him.
The 39-year-old’s popularity has since skyrocketed. Meanwhile, Kross was booked into a storyline with Sami Zayn, leading to his first PLE match in 447 days. The company also dropped new merchandise for the former NXT Champion.
Nevertheless, Kross and Scarlett’s future remains uncertain as their contracts reportedly expire next month. On the July 6 episode of the Fightful Select Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp provided a clarification on the real-life couple’s WWE status and future.
Sapp claimed all signs point to Kross and Scarlett extending their contracts with the Stamford-based company.
Scarlett—her deal also up when Karrion Kross’ is, barring an extension. Now, I’ve said this about two, three, four times now. I would imagine they are going to play their contracts very close to the vest. Him being featured on TV, very heavily on the PLE, getting new merch—all signs point to him staying with the company and perhaps even having signed with the company again. WWE Urged To Book Karrion Kross & Scarlett In a Romantic Storyline
On his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the wrestling veteran discussed how WWE should book Karrion Kross and Scarlett in the coming weeks.
The former WWE manager claimed the couple should be part of a romantic angle, where Scarlett would dump Karrion Kross for another superstar, or the latter would do the same to his wife.
I think it’s gotta be something with him and the girl. That’s what they’re used to seeing. If you can do something like that, and if he just dumps the girl or she dumps him or something.
Give him a story that fans can identify with. Now, everybody can identify with you got a girlfriend and all of a sudden she starts liking or this other guy starts liking her and there’s controversy there.
Fans can identify with that. Or if he treats the girl badly, they can identify with that. Or she could treat him badly and they can identify with that. But I think it has to be something with him and the girl.
