Ridge Holland suffered a significant injury during a TNA Wrestling taping on September 27, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

While competing against Moose in a match, Holland landed awkwardly on his left foot and was unable to continue. The match was stopped immediately, and officials and Moose helped Holland backstage himself, signaling the severity of his condition. The injury was later diagnosed as a Lisfranc injury.

Following the injury, Holland confirmed on social media that he was scheduled to undergo surgery in early October. The surgery aimed to repair the Lisfranc injury to his midfoot. Such injuries usually require a lengthy recovery period, often ranging from six months to a year, depending on severity and Dave Meltzer also confirmed these details in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, stating that the surgery was necessary and that Holland would likely be sidelined for at least six months.

Shortly after the surgery, Holland shared public updates about his recovery. In posts and videos posted on social media, he appeared optimistic yet acknowledged the challenges ahead. He described the rehabilitation process as demanding but maintained a positive mindset. He emphasized the importance of patience and careful rehabilitation to ensure a full recovery, intending to return stronger than before without rushing the process.

WWE Star Ridge Holland Wants To Get Back in the Gym

Despite frustration over the timing of the injury, coming as he was gaining momentum in WWE, Holland expressed determination to use the setbacks as motivation and inspiration for himself and others.

While the estimated total recovery timeline remains around six months, Holland’s personal goal is to return to training as soon as it is medically safe. He mentioned he was still largely unable to bear weight on his foot, but he hoped to resume gym workouts on Monday.

“So, foot’s kind of recovering pretty well. Hopefully, I can get back into the gym Monday. I get a cast put on Thursday. I think I’ll be in that probably three weeks and then we can start weight bearing. But yeah, main thing is remain positive is I can get back into the gym Monday, ‘cause I’ve been going absolutely crazy…” H/T Fightful
