An injured WWE star is working their way back to full fitness.

Back in July, Chad Gable confirmed that he’d undergone surgery and would be out for several months.

At the time, Gable had been performing as El Grande Americano. After suffering a major shoulder injury, Gable was written off television after an attack from Penta.

Although Gable has been forced to step away, the El Grande Americano baton was picked up by Ludwig Kaiser, and he’s proved popular with fans, especially in AAA. However, the original version of Americano could be closing on a comeback.

Positive News On WWE Star Chad Gable

According to a new report from Mike Johnson via PWInsider Elite, Gable is scheduled to be at the Performance Center in the coming days as he steps up his rehab. The report notes that the star will be “working towards his return to the ring” while at the facility.

Although there’s no word on when Gable might be cleared to return to the ring, at the time of his surgery, it was noted that late 2025 was an optimistic timeline.

The news comes after it was reported that Liv Morgan will be back in action in early 2026. The former Women’s World Champion also suffered a serious shoulder injury earlier in the year.

Morgan’s injury sparked chaos backstage, with several major storylines having to be rewritten after the severity of the problem became clear. This included a planned match with Nikki Bella and a high-profile SummerSlam match involving Dominik Mysterio being scrapped.
