Update On Cavinder Twins WWE Status Following NXT Debut
Following their debut on NXT television, a new update has given an insight into Hanna and Haley Cavinder’s status with WWE.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder previously decided against pursuing their fifth year of eligibility in the NCAA in order to join WWE. The social media stars bring with them quite a following and now it seems they could be inching closer to competing in the ring.
Prior to NXT Hanna Cavinder took to social media to tease that fans might “see your new fav tag team in the ring tonight.” Rather than being an addition to the women’s tag team division – for now – the twins were actually there to celebrate Thea Hail’s win in the battle royal with the rest of Chase U.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that fans shouldn’t expect to see the Cavinder twins competing in the ring any time soon as they’re not yet under a talent contract with the company:
“That’s an interesting thing. They were there. They have not signed a talent contract yet. I checked that today. They still have their NIL contract, and they will be either…they’re [WWE] are really high on them, but they haven’t even trained yet, so who’s to say. They’re celebrities.”
