Unfortunate Update on Bianca Belair’s Injury Amid 5-Month WWE In-Ring Absence
Bianca Belair is still recovering from an injury.
The EST last competed in a women’s triple threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at night 2 of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Despite Belair and Ripley’s fierce performance, it was IYO SKY who won the match by pinning Belair after executing a moonsault from the top rope.
This loss marked the end of Bianca Belair’s undefeated WrestleMania streak, where she had previously defeated top stars like Sasha Banks and Asuka. But that was not it. She also suffered a serious finger injury when executing a risky triple German suplex spot.
As she lifted both opponents, her hand got trapped beneath Rhea Ripley, who landed on it, fracturing it in multiple places, including the joint and the middle of the finger. This injury was extremely painful and forced her to wrestle through the injury to finish the match.
In July 2025, Bianca Belair told Chris Van Vliet that the finger had since healed to some extent but remains stiff and unable to straighten fully. Therefore, she’s been forced to wear her wedding ring on her other hand.
“It looks more like a real finger now. So I have to wear my ring finger on my right hand now because my ring doesn’t fit. It’s healed, it won’t fully straighten. I broke it in two or three different spots. I broke it up here in the middle and then down in the joint.”
Bianca Belair’s Left Finger Is “Still Broken”
Bianca Belair revealed on the Club 520 Podcast that her broken finger has not yet healed properly.
“I have my wedding ring on my right hand because my left finger is still broken.”
Speaking further on the show, she recalled the incredible match she had with Ripley and SKY at Mania this year.
“That’s one of my matches I’m super proud about at WrestleMania this past year with Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY. There was a lot of strength and athleticism that we displayed, and storytelling. That’s what’s amazing about WWE, it’s sports entertainment, for sure, and that’s what we do. I’m super proud to be a part of something like that.”
Though Belair has made non-wrestling appearances, such as special guest referee for Naomi and Jade Cargill’s No Holds Barred Match at WWE Evolution on July 13, 202, her full return timeline remains uncertain due to the injury’s severity.
