Unlikely AEW Star Wants Another Match Before Turning 50

One AEW star is keen to get their boots on once again before they turn 50, despite not having competed in 6 years.

Swerve Strickland climbed his way to the top of AEW in 2024 when he captured the AEW World Championship. Strickland has had his cheek impaled with a needle by Hangman Adam Page, had his blood drank in the ring, and watched his childhood home burn down during his run in Tony Khan’s company. But with the highs and the lows, one thing has remained constant: his partnership with Prince Nana.

Prince Nana is no slouch in the ring in his own right. In Ring of Honor, Nana shared the ring with the likes of Low Ki, Homicide, and Samoa Joe, but it was when he built The Embassy that he really made his name. Abyss, Alex Shelley, Claudio Castagnoli, and the late Jimmy Rave.

The last time Prince Nana wrestled was all the way back in 2019, but does he ever plan to get in the ring again?

Prince Nana To Wrestle In AEW?

Speaking to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Prince Nana says no one has made him mad enough to get back in the ring, but he will again before he’s 50:

There’s always a possibility Prince Nana is beginning to start to train. I’m beginning to get back into the ring and I always had the itch to get back in there but no one has p*ssed me off enough for me to do it, alright?

MVP was getting close, alright? He was getting real close, but don’t worry, my friends, that day will happen before I turn 50.

Aged 47, Prince Nana still has time to find someone who makes him angry enough to put on his robe and get back in action.
