United States Championship Match Scheduled For WWE Raw On July 4: Rusev vs. O’Neil

It was announced during yesterday’s Smackdown tapings that Rusev will be defending his United States Championship on July 4’s edition of Monday Night Raw against Titus O’Neil. This is according to The Wrestling Observer.

This will be O’Neil’s second opportunity at Rusev’s United States Title after he lost to Rusev at Money in the Bank on June 19. O’Neil scored a victory on Rusev on Raw this past Monday (June 27). It was a non-title contest and O’Neil won via countout, so it counts as a big win for him which in WWE’s eyes warrants O’Neil getting another shot at the United States Title.
