Unfortunate Update On WWE & TNA’s Partnership

wwe tna

In early 2025, a multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA was announced.

The partnership facilitated talent trade between TNA and NXT, altering the industry’s operation massively. However, according to the latest reports, that partnership may soon end.

Blake Avignon, who initially broke the news about the Stamford promotion acquiring Mexican promotion AAA Lucha Libre, took to X to reveal TNA’s new telecast partnership in the United States with AMC.

The deal will reportedly fetch the Carlos Silva-led promotion around $30 million, which is three times more than the figures that were reported a few months ago.

WWE’s deal with TNA came with a 60-day termination clause. If the Stamford promotion opts in favor of using it, the partnership could end in early January.

Meanwhile, the TNA roster is being duly notified about the deal and the potential changes that may be coming their way.

TKO Contemplated Purchasing TNA Amid Partnership With WWE

While speaking about Carlos Silva’s comments during an interview with JohnWallStreet.com, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer said that TKO, at some point, considered buying TNA.

This lines up with the JohnWallStreet.com article, which outright stated that there’s speculation TNA could eventually be sold to TKO Group. And that is something I’d heard was at least discussed when the TNA–WWE talent-sharing relationship began earlier this year.

He even said that the Stamford-based company had expressed interest in other businesses like Progress, ICW, and WXW by adding a buyout option in the contracts.

However, it never pulled the trigger on any of them.
