Unfortunate Update On AJ Lee’s WWE Future
AJ Lee won the WarGames match for her team at Survivor Series by making Becky Lynch tap out to her submission.
Many fans expected the duo to continue their rivalry on the December 1 episode of RAW, but the former WWE Divas Champion was nowhere to be seen.
According to a report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, it is not a sign of deviation from their rivalry, but rather has something to do with her contract.
Speaking on Fighful’s post-RAW show, Sapp confirmed that Lee will continue to pop in and out, and there was never a deal between both parties about a full-time comeback.
So AJ Lee will come and go. When I saw people posting right after her return saying, ‘Oh, she’s back and it’s full time,’ I was like, ‘Hold on, partner, before we giddy up here.’ That’s not what I was hearing.
As you can see, there hasn’t been anything close to a full-time return yet. She showed up for a couple of weeks, did the WarGames build, and now she’s gone again. [H/T: Ringside News]
AJ Lee Likens Her Survivor Series Team To Superheroes
AJ Lee participated in her first WarGames match at Survivor Series by teaming up with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss.
Since her return to the promotion in September, she had been feuding with Becky Lynch, who was one of the participants in the opposite team.
The women’s WarGames match lasted more than 30 minutes, producing intense battles, with both the heels and babyfaces sharing the spotlight.
In the closing minutes, Sky performed her trademark jump from the top of the cage while wearing a trash can on her head. In the process, she took out four members, leaving out Lynch.
The babyfaces then cornered her, with AJ Lee applying her Black Widow submission for the win.
After the match, she shared an Instagram post, comparing her team to The Avengers.
