Unfortunate News On Kevin Owens’ WWE Return Timeline

Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton’s rivalry was heating up at just the right pace before their WrestleMania 41 clash.

It was then, on the April 4 episode of SmackDown, that Owens announced he was backing out of the match due to a serious neck injury, leaving fans feeling robbed of an epic clash.

To not disappoint the viewers, Randy Orton was entered into a match against fan favorite and former TNA Champion Joe Hendry, giving the latter a taste of appearing on the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”

Since making the announcement, Owens has remained off the grid, recuperating.

In late April, there was optimism surrounding his speedy return to the ring. However, the recent update is quite the opposite.

Kevin Owens’ Return Possibly Pushed Back

On a recent episode of WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, it was reported that ‘the Prizefighter’ may be months from making a full recovery and return to WWE.

Kevin Owens has not had any procedure to this date, so as far as recovery and return, we’re months and months away from that, so, we’ll see.

It was earlier reported by Dave Meltzer that Owens had undergone surgery on April 7, and his recovery could depend on various factors.

Kevin Owens is one of WWE’s prized assets. Alongside impressive fighting skills, he brings incredible mic techniques to his character, keeping viewers engrossed during his promos. His rivalries with the likes of Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho, and John Cena are well-documented.
