Unexpected AEW Star Joins Don Callis Family

Don Callis Family AEW

With Will Ospreay leaving The Don Callis Family, it’s not taken long for the slimy Callis to find a replacement on the AEW roster.

At Forbidden Door in New York City, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay went to battle in the night’s main event for the AEW World Championship as Will Ospreay looked to emulate Mercedes Mone who left Forbidden Door with two titles of her own.

Strickland and Ospreay went back and forth for almost half an hour before the referee was taken out and the slimy Don Callis tried to get Ospreay to take out both Strickland and Prince Nana with a screwdriver. Ultimately Ospreay threw away the weapon and succumbed to a House Call and Big Pressure as Swerve Strickland won and in the process ended the undefeated streak of Will Ospreay since he officially joined the company.

On Dynamite Beach Break, Will Ospreay told Don Callis he wanted out of The Family and perhaps somewhat surprisingly Callis agreed. Although Callis may have betrayed himself as he winced while hugging his now former charge.

Don Callis Seals Deal With Rush On AEW Rampage

Now on Rampage, following his win over Komander, it looks like Rush has decided to put his faith in Don Callis. Callis was on commentary for that match and Rush sealed his allegiance to Callis by dumping Komander at his feet.

Callis then revealed footage from earlier in the week that shows Rush is now a part of The Don Callis Family.

Rampage proved to be a successful night for The Don Callis Family as Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita teamed up to defeat Private Party on the show.
