Major Uncertainty Over Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns For Huge WWE Show

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are heading into their second back-to-back WrestleMania main event but another big show in 2024 might be missing them.

Cody Rhodes won the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble to guarantee himself a title match at WrestleMania 40. While he immediately set his sights on Roman Reigns, the return of The Rock in a big way to WWE muddied the waters considerably.

Rhodes initially stepped aside for The Rock before confirming that he would indeed challenge Reigns in a repeat of the WrestleMania 39 main event following a huge fan backlash.

That led to The Rock siding with Reigns and The Bloodline and now a huge tag team looks set to be made official for the main event of night one of WWE WrestleMania.

But beyond WrestleMania, WWE will be holding Money In The Bank in Toronto on July 6th and the company has surprised many by omitting both Reigns and Rhodes from new advertising for that show.

While Roman Reigns’ reduced schedule could mean he’ll be absent, the absence of Cody Rhodes – who could well be WWE Universal Champion by the time Money In The Bank takes place – is a strange one.

WWE’s event page for the show features Ricochet, Bayley, Seth Rollins, IYO SKY, LA Knight, The Miz, Kevin Owens, Bianca Belair, and AJ Styles – although this does not necessarily mean all of those stars will be on the show.
