UK And EU Fans Can Travel To Attend Survivor Series And Full Gear

There is some good news for United Kingdom and European Union-based wrestling fans because they will be able to travel to the US to attend major shows like AEW Full Gear and WWE Survivor Series.

It was announced that the United States of America plans to relax travel restrictions from November onwards, which will allow for overseas travelers to take a trip to the US.

The news specifies that vaccinated fans would be able to travel to the US as long as they have received at least two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals traveling to the US will need to provide proof of vaccination before boarding along with proof of a negative COVID-19 test that was taken within three days of when they intend to travel.

It’s welcome news for the UK and EU citizens that have had to deal with nearly two years of COVID-19 restriction that have limited travel opportunities.

The news led to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling it a “fantastic boost” for UK residents. Johnson was in New York when he confirmed that the restrictions were lifted earlier than expected.

Regarding the major wrestling PPVs in November, Full Gear is up first on Saturday, November 13 likely in Minneapolis, according to Fightful. The original date for Full Gear was going to be Saturday, November 6, but it was moved because UFC 268 is a major event on that date in New York City.

This will be the third edition of AEW’s Full Gear PPV, which has been a Saturday night PPV in the month of November in the previous two years. The reason for that is because Tony Khan’s family owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and AEW doesn’t want to put a PPV on to oppose the NFL games that are played on Sundays.

The WWE’s Survivor Series PPV started in 1987 and usually took place around American Thanksgiving. This year’s Survivor Series will take place on November 21 (Thanksgiving is November 25) at one of WWE’s favorite venues when they go to Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This year’s Survivor Series marks 25 years since The Rock debuted at Survivor Series in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, so there is a hope that The Rock will be there in some capacity.

Full Gear and Survivor Series taking place on back to back weekends is a wonderful treat for wrestling fans no matter where you come from.
