UFC Blocked Planned Logan Paul Fight
Logan Paul left to focus on WWE.
Back in December, controversial UFC star Conor McGregor claimed he’d agreed to a boxing exhibition with Logan Paul. There had been claims the star would be returning to the octagon to face Ilia Topuria, but these were denied.
According to McGregor, his fight with Paul would take place in India, and then he would look to resume his UFC career. The Irish star hasn’t fought since losing to Dustin Poirier in July 2021,
However, it seems his plans are now on ice.
Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul Off
During a new interview with The Schmo, McGregor noted that UFC had poured cold water on the deal.
“It is what it is. The UFC just aren’t into it. I had the offer on the table in writing….Both athletes under the TKO banner, UFC WWE both rising up. You know the stock price of TKO Holding Group through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming.
It was the business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen, or should I say the glorified spar happen, and in between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the Octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with.
I’m not sure the WWE, what they interest in was. I just knew the UFC weren’to it.”
As plans for a return to boxing appear to have fallen apart, Logan Paul will return to WWE on the January 27th edition of Raw. The star has been absent from the company since SummerSlam aside from a small cameo on January 6th when Raw debuted on Netflix.
In November 2024, McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault in a civil case brought by Nikita Hand, who accused the star of raping her at a hotel in 2018. This was followed by the filing of a lawsuit containing allegations of sexual assault in January 2025. In the suit, McGregor is accused of assaulting a woman during a Miami Heat basketball game in 2023.
