Two WWE Legends Thought They Were Getting Fired Because of Shane McMahon
Shane McMahon asked a WWE Legend to hit him with all he had, laying him out.
Shane McMahon made a name for himself in the WWE by taking up death-defying challenges. Even though he was the boss’s son, he left no stone unturned when it came to his performance in the Squared Circle. He constantly pushed himself and those around him to ensure that the fans were entertained. In one such situation, former Tag Team Champions JBL and Ron Simmons thought they would be fired because of the beating they gave him.
JBL is a wrestling legend and was part of the commentary team, which he later moved away from. On the latest episode of Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard, JBL answered a fan’s question regarding his hardest Clothesline From Hell. He laughed about it and recalled Shane McMahon wanting him to hit him as hard as possible. After the spot, JBL’s partner, Ron Simmons, thought the duo would be fired for hitting the boss’s son so hard. The WWE Legend also stated that Shane ‘O Mac thought it was the greatest thing ever.
“Shane told me, he said, ‘You hit me as hard as you’ve hit anybody. You can’t go easy on me. You’ve got to hit me incredibly hard.’ And he came running around the ring and oh my God, did I hit him. And when I did, Ron and I are walking by him. Ron goes, ‘We’re fired, we’re fired’, because he said, ‘You just killed the boss’s son'” [1:33:54 – 1:34:32]
