Two NXT Title Matches Set For Vengeance Day

Ilja Dragunov Lyra Valkyria NXT

NXT Vengeance Day will take place on February 4th and two of the main title matches on the show are now in place.

The 16th of January edition of NXT television ended with a huge twenty-woman battle royal to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Title against Lyra Valkyria. The battle royal turned into a fatal four-way match when it came down to the last four stars and Kiana James, Fallon Henley, Kelani Jordan, and Roxanne Perez all made it to that portion of the match.

In the end, Perez picked up the win over Jordan to get the chance to reclaim the title she previously held until Stand and Deliver in April 2023.

Ilja Dragunov Makes Return To NXT

The NXT Champion made his return to television after Ilja Dragunov was stretchered out of his match with Ridge Holland.

Dragunov told Trick Williams he’d get his shot at the gold at Vengeance Day but as usual, this makes things difficult for Williams. Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes are part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and made it through to the semi-finals of that tournament. Hayes was not happy that his partner could have to pull double duty at Vengeance Day with the finals of the Classic also taking place that night.

However, to get to the final TrickMelo will have to get past the LWO meaning that a place in the final can’t be taken for granted.
