Two Major WWE Stars May Have Real-Life Heat

Two WWE Superstars who are set to square off at Clash in Paris may have real-life heat.

Nikki Bella returned to the Stamford-based company earlier this year for another run. The WWE Hall of Famer competed in the Battle Royal at Evolution. She has since wrestled two matches on RAW.

Over the past few weeks, Bella has been involved in a feud with Becky Lynch. Last Monday, the former Divas Champion confronted The Man on the red brand, challenging her for the Women’s Intercontinental Title.

While Lynch refused to put her championship on the line on RAW, she agreed to defend it against the WWE Hall of Famer at Clash in Paris after the latter called her a coward.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, former TNA star Nic Nemeth (FKA Dolph Ziggler) addressed the highly anticipated clash, pointing out that he feels there is genuine disdain between the two top superstars.

I genuinely see disdain in the faces of these two ladies when they’re talking to each other, and I think it’s fantastic. Whether [the disdain] is [real] or not, I don’t know. I don’t want to know ever. I like that when I watch one of them talk and it’s on them and I go, man, this seems kind of real. Sometimes there’s a joke in there and sometimes it’s like they dug for a line, that’s fine. Then sometimes I’m watching Nikki’s face last night and I go, she’s sticking it to this chick. That’s great. I watch Becky go, ‘No, no, no, no. I’m the boss around here. I call the shots. You don’t just show up and get matches,’ and then she gives her a match. [H/T: WrestlingInc.]

Natalya Also Hinted At Real-Life Tension Between The WWE Rivals

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya is one of the locker room leaders in WWE. She is also a close friend of Nikki Bella. While speaking on the Busted Open podcast recently, she addressed their segment on Monday Night RAW. She pointed out that it was one of the most viewed segments of the show.

Meanwhile, she disclosed that she believes there is real tension between the WWE Hall of Famer and the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Their segment, from what I understand, was one of the most viewed segments on the show, and that’s because I do believe there’s real tension between the two of them.

I think with Nikki, she’s in a place in her life where she’s been scrutinized, she’s been criticized, she’s been through the wringer up and down and back again. That’s the thing, part of being famous is, oh, leave us alone, don’t critique us because we’re famous. That’s the thing — when you’re in the spotlight, especially when you start to become more famous, you get more critique.

My thing is — there’s people I like, there’s people I don’t like. I think with Nikki, she’s using all of it, every hardship that she’s been through, every breakup that she’s been through, everything that’s been challenging for her in her life, she’s channeling it in this feud, and I love it.

She has never — since I’ve known Nikki from day one, she has never ever been a victim, she’s always been a survivor. That’s the thing that Becky doesn’t realize is that Nikki has been a survivor of so many things that she doesn’t even talk about. Things that I know that, because I’m close friend of hers, she’s channeling all of that into this feud. I’m excited to see their match at Clash, I think their story has been fascinating.

We go back to when Becky threw the first shot at Nikki, it was a low blow. It was meant to be a low blow. Becky knew exactly what she was doing, she was trying to hit Nikki in the heart.

Nikki’s already five steps ahead of Becky because she’s like, I’ve already been hurt so much that you’re not going to hurt me anymore. I’m gonna take everything that you’re saying and I’m going to channel it into my performance and I’m gonna beat the living [sh*t] out of you.

Nikki Bella has not held a title in WWE since 2015. It would be interesting to see if she could capture her first title in a decade at Clash in Paris.
