Two AEW Stars Could Have Interest In Joining WWE
According to a new report, two AEW stars could have their sights set on joining WWE with one making waves through his decision to quit another promotion recently.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Rush has been missing recently due to visa issues which is something that the whole wrestling industry and foreign talents have been having to deal with.
It is then said that Rush’s deal with AEW was a one-year contract and could well be up soon while Andrade El Idolo signed on for three years with Tony Khan’s company but time could be added to his deal due to time missed because of injury.
Rush recently surprised many by announcing his departure from AAA with some of the opinion that the move was to set the wheels in motion of trying to talk to WWE. It is also noted that Andrade El Idolo wanted out of AEW several months ago but was refused his release. It remains to be seen if that situation has changed with Andrade set to be a featured star on the new Collision show.
Andrade El Idolo will be in action on the first edition of Collision as he takes on another former WWE star in Buddy Matthews.
