Uncomfortable Truth About Charlotte Flair’s WWE Reactions
Charlotte Flair failed to win gold at WWE Evolution but it was the reaction that fans gave her that caught most people’s attention.
Charlotte Flair made a triumphant return to WWE after over a year on the shelf to win the Royal Rumble at the start of 2025. However, despite being a veteran on the roster and the substantial success she’s had in the company, Flair continues to struggle to find support from WWE fans.
Flair has found an unlikely ally in recent weeks in Alexa Bliss. Bliss and Flair earned a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Evolution, but in the end, it was Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez that escaped with the gold. The most notable thing about the match was the fans’ positive reaction to Flair when she was tagged into the match. And there might be a good reason for that.
Charlotte Flair Hated By Men?
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why Charlotte Flair received such a positive reaction at Evolution compared to other shows, and said it had nothing to do with the event taking place in Atlanta, Georgia:
This is not a usual crowd. It’s not the city, it’s the nature of the crowd. Women don’t hate Charlotte Flair, guys hate Charlotte Flair, that’s the thing. This was a far more women crowd, that’s all. Whether she’ll get cheered on SmackDown on Friday, I don’t know. It was a very different crowd – it’s not the city, it’s the make up.
There had been suggestions that WWE’s pairing of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair had been done to help Flair win the adulation of the audience.
