Truth About WWE’s Interest In Re-signing Ex-Star
Is WWE really on the hunt to bring back a former star who has been making waves elsewhere in recent weeks?
The landscape of the Mexican wrestling scene was changed forever when it was announced that WWE had acquired AAA at WrestleMania 41. That came on the heels of AEW announcing its first-ever show at Arena Mexico as Tony Khan’s company continues its relationship with AAA’s long-time rival promotion, CMLL.
That edition of Dynamite saw MJF tangle with Mistico in a match that ended in disqualification. Their feud looks to continue as MJF attacked Mistico once again in his shock return to MLW. Prior to their bout, MJF reminded everyone of Mistico’s ill-fated time in WWE, where he once portrayed Sin Cara.
Given his recent run of stellar performances, there have been suggestions that WWE could look to poach Mistico away from CMLL, but is that really the case?
WWE Not Looking At Mistico Return
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted that WWE has no interest in the present time of trying to prise away any member of the CMLL roster to join AAA. WWE’s approach to the situation is said to be one of leaving CMLL alone for the time being.
