Truth About LA Knight’s WWE Injury Revealed

Has LA Knight also fallen victim to WWE’s injury curse?

On the June 20 episode of SmackDown, LA Knight took on Bronson Reed, but the match ended in a disqualification.

After the match, Knight was destroyed by Bron Breakker and Reed, which saw him take several Tsunami Splashes in the process. On the following episode of Raw, it was announced that Knight was dealing with a bruised sternum and rib injuries.

Considering WWE’s growing injury list, fans wondered whether Knight was dealing with a legitimate issue, but it seems that isn’t the case.

LA Knight Still In Creative Plans

Thankfully, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that Knight’s injury is purely for storyline purposes, and he’s still factored into creative plans moving forward.

In some not-so-good news, Chad Gable will require surgery and will be out of action until late 2025 at the earliest. Although there’s been no official comment from Gable or the company, it’s believed that the star is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Fellow absentee Liv Morgan is also expected to miss around six months of action after undergoing shoulder surgery and getting injured in a match against Kairi Sane.

The most recent update on the situation confirmed that a planned match between Morgan and Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky at Evolution 2 has been scrapped. In addition, a mixed tag team match involving Morgan and Dominik Mysterio against Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez at SummerSlam has also been dropped.
