Truth About 2-Time WWE Champion Suffering Knee Injury Revealed

Seth Rollins WWE

Seth Rollins proved to be lying when it came to his knee injury, but what about another ex-WWE Champion who recently appeared on crutches?

Seth Rollins apparently suffered a serious knee injury at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which many thought was going to keep him out of the ring for several months.

However, word quickly spread that all was not as it seemed, and that proved to be the case at SummerSlam. CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther, but did not get to celebrate for very long. Seth Rollins then appeared to cash in his Money In The Bank contract to win the gold from Punk and reveal his serious knee injury was all a lie.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show in place of the host and using crutches, The Miz claimed that he’d suffered a serious knee injury that would keep him out of action for quite some time:

I heard a pop in my knee and it ended up being broken. I went to Birmingham and they said I have a broken knee and so, unfortunately, I am going to be out of WWE for a significant amount of time.

If Seth Rollins’ knee injury proved to be the “ruse of the century”, then The Miz’s was at least the “ruse of the minute” as he then revealed he was faking the injury to take a shot at Rollins.

The Miz’s Time Nearly Up In WWE?

Despite being healthy, The Miz has been used sparingly in recent months in WWE, and it seems he might not be with the company too much longer. One report has revealed that The Miz’s contract runs out at the end of 2025, and it remains to be seen if it will be extended.

Dragon Lee’s contract is also up at the same time, but more notably, WWE president Nick Khan’s employment contract also ends at the end of 2025.
