Why Trish Stratus Felt WWE Elimination Chamber Was So Special

Trish Stratus loved being in the ring at WWE Elimination Chamber for a very special reason.

Four matches took place at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE in Toronto. It was a huge event with over 35,000 fans in attendance since it took place at the Rogers Centre, which was once known as the SkyDome.

When it was known as the SkyDome, the building hosted WrestleMania 18 in 2022 and WrestleMania 6 in 1990. Trish Stratus is a Toronto girl who competed at WrestleMania 18 and was also in action at Elimination Chamber as well.

It was Tiffy Time and Trishy Time at Elimination Chamber as WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton teamed up with Trish Stratus to defeat the team of Nia Jax & Candice LeRae. After Stratus hit a bulldog off the top rope on Jax, Stratton followed with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever off the top rope for the pinfall win for her team.

Trish Stratus Was Grateful To Perform In Front Of Her Family At Elimination Chamber

What made Elimination Chamber so unique for Trish Stratus is that her son Max and daughter Madi were in the crowd watching her perform in the ring for the first time.

In an interview with Sir Wilkins of The Jobber Tear’s Network, Stratus talked about being part of WWE Elimination Chamber.

“Great (Stratus responded when asked how she’s feeling physically after Elimination Chamber). What an opportunity. I went back, I wrestled with Charlotte (Flair), I’ve wrestled with Becky Lynch. To go back and now touch the next generations, I’m so grateful. I mean, who could have thought we could have done something like that? And then, I got to wrestle for the first time live in front of my children. That was so special.

We (myself & Lita) wrestled so long ago and my children were not even a thought in my brain. So to be able to go back and have that moment with them in my hometown was so special.”

Stratus also competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble as well. It’s not known if Stratus will compete in another WWE match this year, but it is the 25-year anniversary since she started in WWE, so if there’s a storyline for her, fans may see the WWE Hall of Famer in the ring again.
