Trish Stratus Wants To Get “Rag-Dolled” By WWE Star
Trish Stratus has an unusual request before finally hanging up her boots.
Her full-time career might have been over for well over a decade, but Trish Stratus’s impact on WWE is still being felt today. Along with the likes of Lita, Victoria, and Jazz, Status helped redefine women’s wrestling within the company, laying the foundation for the stars of today.
With WWE on the verge of crowing its first-ever Women’s Intercontinental and United States Champions, Stratus has taken a look back on her run in the early 2000s, and how the landscape has changed.
During a new interview with Scott Fishman for TV Insider, Stratus was asked who she enjoys watching in WWE today, and she had a surprising response.
“Nia Jax, I’m so happy she came back. She has a great presence. She has been owning it. I really enjoy watching her. I have this weird thing where I don’t think I could fully retire until I’m rag-dolled by her. Is that weird? Imagine that? Then I can retire [laughs].”
Trish Stratus Open To WWE Return
During the same interview Stratus all but confirmed she’ll be back with WWE in 2025, although she stopped short of committing to an in-ring return.
“Possibly. I imagine at some point. I don’t know what I’ll be doing in a wrestling ring, but I can’t imagine I won’t be in a wrestling ring. It is my 25th anniversary after all. So, yeah.”
Trish Stratus has spent several months teasing an in-ring return, repeatedly denying that she’s retired. This included telling fans that Cody Rhodes isn’t the only star who had a story to finish.
The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Becky Lynch in an acclaimed Cage Match at Payback 2023. The match brought to an end a seven-month run with the company that started out as a temporary comeback before morphing into what was essentially a full-time return.
