Trish Stratus Addresses If She Wants To Win Another Title In WWE

Trish Stratus knows a thing or two about winning gold in WWE and she recently talked about if she has her eyes on a Women’s Title now that she’s back.

At WrestleMania 39, Trish Stratus made her in-ring return as she competed in her first WrestleMania match in 12 years. The former seven-time WWE Women’s Champion who retired in 2006 showed no ring rust in the match.

Stratus wrestled again on the April 10th edition of Raw when she replaced Lita as a tag team with Becky Lynch. They would go on to lose the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan. After the loss, Stratus attacked Becky Lynch with a forearm to the back and a Chick Kick as Trish became a heel for the first time since 2005 (that’s 18 years).

This past Monday on the April 17th edition of Raw, Trish Stratus explained her actions by saying that Lynch didn’t respect what Stratus did in WWE and that without Stratus, there would be no women’s division as it currently stands. Essentially, Trish believes that somebody like Lynch should be thanking Trish more than she does. Trish also revealed that she was the one that mysteriously attacked Lita backstage one week earlier.

In an interview on WWE’s After the Bell podcast with Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick, Trish Stratus was asked her thoughts about the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Smackdown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

“I’m loving watching the development, because for me, it was about being this valet, but then having a character, developing, and getting to know her as a character, and then watching her in her role, and I’ve seen this with Rhea Ripley. It’s been wonderful to watch. She’s pretty special and I’m so happy to see where she’s at.”

“Bianca, she’s someone special. She’s so athletic. I feel like she’s someone that is born to do what she does. It’s so natural and so effortless. I love seeing her. She’s a great champion. I mean, could I dethrone her? Maybe? Probably, but I enjoy watching her. I think they’re both great and also both beautiful.”

When Trish was asked about the odds of her possibly going after Bianca or Ripley and their titles, Trish Stratus seemed to indicate that she had some interest in that.

“Pretty high. I guess the odds could be high. Do I look good in gold? Yes I do. Do I represent well? Yes, I do. Can I do your press conference? Yes, I can.”

It’s currently unknown how often Stratus will wrestle in WWE or if she will face anybody other than Lynch, but clearly she has thoughts about going after Belair and/or Ripley at some point too.
