Trish Stratus Trained With TNA Champion Ahead Of WWE Return

Trish Stratus makes her entrance at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble

Trish Stratus was training hard before getting back in the ring.

After months of hints in interviews and on social media, Trish Stratus finally returned to the ring at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

In the women’s Rumble match, Stratus entered at number 25 and lasted a little over 13 minutes before being eliminated by Nia Jax. The match was eventually won by Charlotte Flair, with the star now expected to face Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41.

For Stratus, the bout was her first since losing to Becky Lynch in an acclaimed Cage Match at Payback in September 2023. In 2025, the Hall of Famer is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her WWE debut.

Trish Stratus Turned To Unlikely Name For Help

In a new video posted on social media, Stratus revealed she trained with none other than TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Jody Threat before the Royal Rumble. Stratus’ fellow Toronto, Canada native currently holds the gold alongside Dani Luna

There’s no word on if or when Stratus will wrestle again.

Meanwhile, Nikki Bella has promised that her comeback wasn’t a one-off. During the latest episode of her podcast, Bella said she’s continuing to train and will be back in the mix “sooner rather than later.”

The WWE legend added that she’ll “definitely be doing more” than she did at the Rumble.

Bella initially announced her retirement in 2019 after the discovery of a benign cyst on her brain while also citing her long-standing neck problems. However, she briefly returned to action in early 2022, competing in the women’s Royal Rumble Match.
