Trish Stratus Confirms Return To Ring At WrestleMania 39

Following her return to WWE screens in recent weeks, Trish Stratus has confirmed she will be part of a huge tag team match at WrestleMania 39.

On the 27th of February edition of Raw Becky Lynch and Lita challenged IYO SKY and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

With that match taking place, Bayley provided an edge for Damage CTRL on the outside of the ring, with her interventions in the bout looking to prove ever more decisive. However, she was stopped in her tracks when Trish Stratus emerged to even the odds and take out The Role Model.

In the ring, IYO SKY was locked in the Disarm-her by Becky Lynch which allowed Lita to hit a huge moonsault on Kai to pick up the win. With that victory, Lita captured her first championship in WWE since 2006.

On Raw in Boston, Trish Stratus joined the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in the ring to discuss the huge win before they were quickly interrupted by Damage CTRL. Trish Stratus took it upon herself to challenge Bayley’s group to a huge six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 39, a bout that Bayley quickly accepted, to the apparent dismay of SKY and Kai. Things quickly devolved into physicality with Damage CTRL being sent from the ring.

While it looks like Lita, Stratus, and Becky Lynch have the upper hand heading into WrestleMania 39, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions might want to remember their partner’s history at that event – ask Chris Jericho – before they get too comfortable.
