Triple H joked about following Vince McMahon at Hulk Hogan’s funeral
The passing of the WWE Hall of Famer is a major loss to the pro-wrestling industry. While he did have his fair share of issues and controversies, The Hulkster brought a whole new meaning to pro-wrestling and remains one of the most famed names of WWE.
Podcaster Conrad Thompson spoke about the funeral and the impact of The Immortal One on the audience and industry. The invites were digital, it was heavily guarded by the police, there was pre-determined seating, and two check-ins. It seems that the media was not allowed.
While speaking about it on Grilling JR, he revealed that Vince McMahon was a speaker who knew how to capture the crowd. Furthermore, he added that Triple H followed The Big Man, and made a light-hearted joke about their former working relationship.
“It was kind of funny — and I’m sure he meant it to be funny — but Triple H comes up … he says something along the lines of: “You’d think by now I would’ve learned not to follow Vince McMahon,” and everybody laughed,” Thompson finished. “He gave a really nice speech.” [h/t: WrestlingInc]
