Triple H Tells WWE Viewers To Be Fans Not Critics
Triple H wants WWE fans to enjoy the product and not to criticize everything that they see.
The wild world of pro wrestling has given Paul “Triple H” Levesque since he grew up a fan of the business, trained to be a wrestler, became one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time over three decades and now he’s running the company creatively as the Chief Content Officer.
Due to his life experiences, Triple H has a perspective on pro wrestling that very few people have.
While speaking to Peter Rosenberg on WWE’s YouTube channel, Triple H had some not so kind words to say to critics.
“This will sound defensive, every critic that is out there. I wish I could tell people f*ck off being a critic. Be a fan. Go watch this and be a fan.
If I tell you go to the movies and watch this movie, I saw it it was really good, then just go to the movie as a fan. You watch the movie, you have one opinion. If I tell you, ‘Hey, go see this movie, but can you give me a one-page detail, what you liked, what you didn’t like, and if it worked for you or didn’t work for you,’ You watch it totally differently. You watch the product totally differently. It ruins it for people.”
As he continued, Triple H made the point that pro wrestling was better when fans knew less about what happens behind the scenes and were genuinely surprised by things that they watched.
“The world was so much better when nobody knew and you just watched it. They try to ruin the surprise, and I get it, that’s their business, and they try to tell you the sh*t that’s going on, it just ruins it for people. The business that feeds you, you’re now ruining it for people and lessening their enjoyment of it to a large degree, because you’re telling them all this sh*t, right or wrong, that is going to happen.
The biggest thing I see right now on the internet is people thinking, ‘Oh and then they’re going to do this.’ No we’re not. You know what I mean? ‘And then The Rock is going to show up and he’s going to do this, and he’s going to have the greatest match with this guy of all time…’ Well, except for his f*cking movie schedule, which doesn’t permit him from doing anything in this timeframe.”
Triple H Meets Statue Of Himself At WWE World
At the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on April 18th in Las Vegas, Triple H will be the headline honoree as he’ll become a two-time Hall of Famer since he was already inducted with the D-Generation X group.
Since this year’s Hall of Fame will celebrate Triple H’s career as a wrestler and his life in pro wrestling, the WWE World experience in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41 weekend includes a statue of the man known as “The Game” during his wrestling career.
In a video posted on X, Triple H was shown visiting the statue and as you can see at the top of this story, he did the signature “point” pose with this statue.
