Triple H Plans For Major WWE Star To Win Royal Rumble & World Title

Has Triple H already decided which star will be winning the 2026 Royal Rumble and walking away as WWE Champion at WrestleMania 42?

2025 saw Jey Uso shock the world to win the men’s Royal Rumble match while Charlotte Flair swooped to victory in the women’s match as she returned from a lengthy injury layoff. The two Rumble winners had mixed success at WrestleMania as Uso dethroned Gunther as World Heavyweight Champion, while Flair failed to capture the WWE Women’s Title from Tiffany Stratton.

But it seems Triple H might already know who he wants to win the 2026 Royal Rumble that will take place in Saudi Arabia, and the seeds might already be getting planted.

Triple H Behind Underdog WWE World Champion?

Speaking on Coach & Bro, former WWE writer Vince Russo explained why he thinks Triple H is grooming Sami Zayn for success after recent wins over Karrion Kross and Solo Sikoa:

I gotta tell you, man, I firmly believe this now without a shadow of a doubt. They are grooming Sami Zayn to be WWE Champion. I’m telling you right now, they are planting the seeds, he’s gonna win the Royal Rumble over in Saudi and then they’re gonna replay the Bryan Danielson play. He beat Solo Sikoa on SmackDown. The guy is beating everybody; they are grooming him; they are going to put the world title on Sami Zayn.

While Sami Zayn might have world championship gold in his future, one WWE champion could be on the verge of losing theirs.

Women’s World Champion Naomi was pulled from a planned title defence before Raw went on the air. There have now been suggestions that Naomi is set to be out for a long time as rumours about her condition go into overdrive.
