Triple H Responds To WWE Hall Of Fame Announcement
Triple H is reconsidering his friendships with Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.
On January 29, it was announced that Triple H will headline the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame.
Triple H has a long association with WWE, stretching back to 1995. The would-be World Champion began training in 1990 and later became part of WCW. However, after just one year with the company, he decided to move on, seeking better opportunities (and pay) with the World Wrestling Federation.
The star went on to win the WWE Championship 14 times while dominating the main event picture for over a decade. The Cerebral Assassin is also credited with helping launch NXT and the WWE careers of several of the company’s biggest names.
In a post on social media, The Game thanked everyone for their well wishes while joking about the end of his friendships with Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker who made the surprise announcement.
Been trying to come up with a way to say “Thank You” for the immense honor announced yesterday.
I have had the incredible pleasure of a 30+ year of creating memories and moments… meeting life-long friends (which I’m rethinking both @Undertaker & @ShawnMichaels right now) and of course, the most incredible wife and mother @StephMcMahon.
…and the opportunity to entertain the best fans in the world.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, I appreciate the kind words and well-wishes.
Triple H News Sparks Jokes Online
While the news was said to have come as a surprise, a new report claimed Triple H picked himself for the WWE Hall of Fame.
According to Dave Meltzer, the decision on who goes into the Hall of Fame now rests with the CCO himself following the departure of Vince McMahon in January 2024. He went on to say that he “doesn’t buy” the idea that Triple H didn’t know about the induction.
There’s no word on when the rest of the class of 2025 will be announced. In 2024 the ceremony was headlined by Paul Heyman.
