Triple H’s WWE Career Will End If One Man Returns, Says Veteran
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo believes the return of one person could signal the end of Triple H’s career in the company.
Triple H joined WWE in the mid-1990s. In addition to his Hall of Fame in-ring career, The Game held multiple backstage positions in recent years.
In 2022, the 55-year-old was appointed Chief Content Officer following Vince McMahon’s initial retirement. Although the former chairman returned months later, Triple H remained in his position.
Following McMahon’s second departure last year, The Game has reportedly taken full control of the creative process and become the face of the new era under TKO.
Meanwhile, Triple H recently described his relationship with his father-in-law as “complicated” – a term with which Russo disagrees.
Speaking on the Russo’s Brand podcast, the former head writer claimed McMahon and The Game were not on good terms, as the latter and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, reportedly voted against the ex-WWE Chairman’s return in 2023.
The wrestling veteran went on to predict that Triple H would depart WWE if Vince McMahon were to return.
Hunter, it’s not complicated at all. If Vince McMahon were ever to get back involved with the WWE in any way, shape, or form, you would not be. It’s that simple, man.
Will Vince McMahon reacquire WWE?
Over the past few weeks, reports suggested Vince McMahon is interested in reacquiring his former promotion. Sources within TKO have reportedly emphasized that the company is not for sale.
The former WWE Chairman’s son, Shane McMahon, recently addressed the rumors in an interview with TMZ. He refused to rule out the possibility of his father buying back WWE.
Well, he owns a big part of TKO still, so you never know what’s going to happen there either. So, I’m not trying to be vague. I’m just saying anything can happen, of course.
Shane O’Mac also gave an update on his father‘s current status and whether they were planning to start a new wrestling company together.
