Triple H Makes Clear WWE Calls The Shots With Netflix

Triple H WWE Raw press conference

Triple H has made clear that when it comes to Netflix, it’s WWE calling the shots on their shows.

The beginning of 2025 marked a whole new era in WWE as Raw moved to Netflix in the US as the multi-billion dollar deal between the two giants of their fields began.

Despite spending $5 billion on the jewel in the crown as Netflix looks to pivot towards live content, it seems the streaming giant doesn’t get to dictate what happens on WWE shows.

Triple H Says Netflix Just A Distributor Not A Contributor

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Triple H made clear that Netflix has “no input” on the creative direction of WWE and that the streaming giant only dictates “how long the show is, when we go off air, or what time we’re on air” as he compared WWE to the NFL:

We create the superstars, we create the storylines. We do all of that and the world watches.

As far as the content of the shows… someone doesn’t tell the NFL how football’s played. They distribute our product.

Netflix has been taking a hardline with WWE over their content, however, as it looks to ensure the company continues to produce family-friendly shows that kids can still enjoy.
