Triple H Makes World Title Announcement After WWE Raw
WWE boss Triple H had a huge announcement to make regarding the World Heavyweight Championship after Raw went off the air.
Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship one week after he was viciously betrayed by the rest of The Vision.
This all came about as a result of an apparent shoulder injury suffered by Rollins during his Crown Jewel bout with Cody Rhodes that will see him out of action for some time.
CM Punk had already earned a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship after winning a triple threat match on the October 13th edition of Raw. And now, with no champion, Raw General Manager announced a battle royal would take place, with the winner facing Punk for the vacant title.
Triple H Confirms WWE World Title Match
16 WWE stars took part in the match, but the biggest story of the bout came when Jey Uso eliminated his twin brother Jimmy, despite the two of them working together for much of the battle royal. That left Jey alone with Dominik Mysterio, and the Intercontinental Champion was dumped over the top rope to give Uso the win.
Taking to social media after Raw went off the air, Triple H confirmed that Jey Uso and CM Punk will battle for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st:
