Why Triple H Won’t Make Annual Commitment To WWE Evolution

Triple H WWE Evolution

Triple H has refused to make a serious commitment to bringing back the all-women’s Evolution show in WWE.

As WWE tried to smother AEW All In Texas over the July 12th-13th weekend, the company announced NXT Great American Bash, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and the return of the all-female Evolution. Evolution was first seen in 2018, and it took seven years for WWE to bring the concept back.

2025’s Evolution saw Naomi shock the world as she cashed in her Money In The Bank contract to win the Women’s World Championship. Naomi threw caution to the wind as she cashed in during IYO SKY’s title defence against Rhea Ripley, turning it into a triple threat bout.

There was a shock betrayal on that show as well as Blake Monroe cost Jordynne Grace the NXT Women’s Title, one day after The Glamournauts teamed together to defeat Fatal Influence.

Triple H Questions The Need For WWE Evolution

Speaking at the post-Evolution press conference, Triple H was asked if Evolution would become an annual fixture on WWE’s calendar, but the company’s CCO couldn’t make that commitment as he thinks the women don’t need their own show to stand out:

I don’t want to say it’s yearly, it’s not yearly. I think we see what that demand is for it because as the demand for the women grows across the board every day, it becomes less about having their own show and more about…the equality, it’s all there. They don’t have to have their show to be in the spotlight. But if it works, we’ll definitely go down that road again. It’s a ‘we shall see.’

I don’t know if it has to be a particular night for them to be inspired by the women, because I think the women do that every single Monday, Tuesday, Friday, whenever we have a PLE, wherever we’re having a Saturday Night’s Main Event. They’re role models, they’re inspiring people, they’re changing their lives. That sounds dramatic to some degree, but that is the kind of thing they do.
