Triple H “Wants To Be Dana White”
Triple H is looking to remain front and center in WWE.
WWE in 2025 is a vastly different place compared to the company that was run by Vince McMahon for decades. However, despite its undoubted boom period, there remain some murmurings of discontent behind the scenes.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that some have questioned Triple H’s recent absence from some TV tapings, pointing out his new “political priorities.” But this was quickly shot down by those close to him who claim he hasn’t missed any creative meetings.
However, there remains a feeling that he wants to be the biggest name in the company, something akin to Dana White in UGC.
“But even those have and still do solidly back him have said that he wants to be Dana White, basically positioned to the crowd as the biggest star of the brand. TKO may want that as well, as fighters, like wrestlers, come and go, but Dana White is the constant in UFC, and he’s the only one who can be the Dana White. One person even used the term “Dana-envy” to us.”
Triple H Has Changed WWE
Continuing on, Meltzer added that there remains a consensus that “things are better for everyone” with Triple H compared to Vince McMahon. It was noted that his management style is a big contrast to the “control freak dictator” style favored by McMahon.
Sources suggested that WWE would be no different if The Game were micromanaging the company 24/7. Interestingly, WWE’s boom period has reportedly granted Triple H a great deal of goodwill with the company, and he’s under “zero pressure” despite comments from fans on social media.
However, there were some claims that the boss might be more concerned with how he’s perceived above all else.
“One person questioned if he cares more about how it will look on WWE Unreal than what is really happening, and it was also said that would be a very fair question.”
In a post on social media, Cory Hays noted that Triple H had been more “hands-on” in recent weeks as he tries to improve SmackDown.
