Triple H Takes Aim At The Rock As WWE Power Struggle Ensues

The WrestleMania 40 press conference ended in chaos as The Rock laid the smack down on Cody Rhodes but now Triple H has reminded everyone who’s in charge in WWE.

The WrestleMania press conference left more questions than answers for the show with only one thing made certain and that would be that Cody Rhodes is challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event.

Rhodes and Reigns went back and forth at each other bringing up each other’s families but that might have proved to be a mistake for Rhodes as a shot at Reigns’ family was also a shot at The Rock’s. The Rock told Rhodes he now had an issue with him as he slapped the taste out of The American Nightmare’s mouth.

While The Rock and Roman Reigns were leaving they passed Triple H with The Rock telling his old rival “Have him talk about our family again and I’ll slap the f***ing teeth out of his mouth.”

Triple H Fires Back On WWE SmackDown

While all of this has all the hallmarks of a WWE storyline, the power struggle at the top of WWE has a real wrinkle of reality now The Rock is on TKO’s Board of Directors – putting him above WWE CCO Triple H in the company’s hierarchy.

Triple H – referred to as Paul Levesque – appeared on SmackDown in Charlotte, North Carolina flanked by Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis as WWE management looked to put on a united front.

Triple H told others who thought they had power in the company to ‘know their role’ and that “it doesn’t matter what you think” to anyone unhappy with him making Rhodes and Reigns official for WrestleMania 40 as he borrowed lines from The Rock.

Triple H told fans that only one person would be making decisions when it came to WrestleMania 40 and that was him as he put The Rock firmly in his place.
