Triple H Teases Big Plans For WWE SummerSlam

Triple H

WWE SummerSlam is heading to Cleveland, Ohio for the biggest party of the summer in 2024 and now Triple H has teased major plans for the event.

Logan Paul revealed SummerSlam was heading to Cleveland, Ohio for the first time since 1996. Back then the Gund Arena was home to the event but in 2024 things will be on a much bigger stage as the show will emanate from the Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Taking to social media, Triple H has commented on the news noting that WWE has big plans for the event and that might just involve Logan Paul as he returns to his home city:

We’ve got big plans for #SummerSlam’s big return to Cleveland this year. PS @LoganPaul, we’ll need to iron out those details a bit…

Was Triple H On The Show The Last Time SummerSlam Was In Cleveland?

All the way back in 1996, SummerSlam was headlined by Shawn Michaels defending the WWE Championship against Vader. Michaels defeated The Mastodon in an infamous bout that saw an irate Michaels frequently berate his opponent bringing their feud to a premature end.

That show also saw Paul Bearer shockingly turn on The Undertaker as he helped Mankind win a Boiler Room Brawl. Incredibly the event’s Free For All match before the pay-per-view began saw two WWE Hall of Famers clash as Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Yokozuna.

Interestingly, Triple H wasn’t on that show as he was still suffering through his punishment after being part of the infamous curtain call that saw him and Shawn Michaels say goodbye to WCW-bound Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in the middle of the ring.
