Triple H “Purposely Tanking” Raw Says Vince Russo

Triple H At WWE Gorilla Position

Former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo has made the audacious claim that Triple H and WWE are “going through the motions” with Monday Night Raw.

Since Triple H took over the creative direction of WWE in July 2022 following the retirement of Vince McMahon, changes have been notable. The most obvious change is that Triple H has brought back a number of former stars previously released under the old regime including Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

However, Vince Russo, who has claimed to have worked with the USA Network that shows Raw as a consultant, has suggested that a bigger change is taking place under Triple H’s leadership.

Speaking on Legion of Raw, Russo detailed why he thinks WWE is “purposely tanking” its flagship show as it tries to run out his contract with USA:

“I think they’re purposely tanking this show. I am not joking; I am not kidding around when you look at the way they produce SmackDown compared to the way they produce this show what players go on SmackDown, what players go on this show. I knew USA was not happy, and they were getting very vocal.”

“I think they want to go streaming with Raw, I think they want to charge you for Raw, and I think they have a partner in place. They are just going through the motions, waiting for this USA Network contract to be over. I am not making this up. I’m not over the top. You can’t just book a show of match after match after match for six months. You can’t. Triple H is not that bad, bro. He can’t be that bad.”

It appears that big changes could be on the horizon on Raw for two WWE Superstars with Alexa Bliss and Asuka teasing major changes to their characters.
