Triple H Still Sees Big Things For Theory
Many fans have wondered what Vince McMahon’s retirement meant for Theory but now it seems the star still has a big fan in his new boss, Triple H.
Theory was heavily pushed under McMahon’s regime, frequently appearing on-screen with the former WWE Chairman. The current Mr. Money In The Bank was a featured part of WrestleMania 38, competing in a match with Pat McAfee and confronting Stone Cold Steve Austin before the WWE icon delivered one last Stunner to McMahon.
Since Vince McMahon’s retirement, Triple H has taken over as both the head of creative and talent relations in the company and has made his mark by bringing back former stars such as Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, and Johnny Gargano. But it appears Theory still has a big future in the company under The Game.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on Theory’s recent series of matches with Dolph Ziggler and says the company still wants to groom him as their next big star:
“I guess Dolph Ziggler is kind of the odd man out because they were gonna run with Ziggler and Theory at all the (house) shows to give Theory… the idea is to give Theory opponents that will give him experience because Theory is the one that they really want to groom.”
“It appears [Paul] Levesque hasn’t done anything to change that. They like the guy, good size, good look, very good athlete, just needs ring work.”
