Triple H Planning To “Stack” The Card For WrestleMania 40
It looks like the long-term planning has already started to celebrate four decades of WrestleMania.
The card has already started filling up well for WrestleMania 39, with the top of the bill clash already confirmed as Roman Reigns defends his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against 2023 Royal Rumble winner, ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes.
However, a new report has claimed that next year’s spectacle holds special meaning to WWE head honcho Triple H, and that he is looking to “stack” the card as much as possible.
WrestleMania 40 will take place at Lincoln Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and conveniently the return of roman numerals means the event comes with the initials XL.
In a discussion with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes have commented that there are already plans afoot to stack the card for next year’s ‘Showcase Of The Immortals’.
Next year they’re going to pack and stack the hell out of the card, because of the anniversary. It means something to Triple H.
The report goes on to discuss that the door is open for two particular stars from the past to make a return for the weekender. Those include The Rock, who many had speculated would face Roman Reigns this year but instead said he wouldn’t be in ring shape in time, and Steve Austin, who rejected a number of pitches for WrestleMania 39.
Clearly, the current focus must be on this year’s event, although it would be no surprise if we started seeing a few things being lined up earlier than would usually be expected for the annual spectacle.
