Triple H Breaks Silence on Seth Rollins’ Cash-In To Make Major Declaration

Seth Rollins pulled off another “heist of the century” at WWE SummerSlam night one.

The main event on Saturday’s show saw The Best in the World CM Punk challenge The Ring General Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship in a hard-fought, emotionally charged match.

Punk delivered two brutal GTS to secure the victory and finally win the World Heavyweight Championship after over a decade in the company. However, his celebration was cut short when Seth Rollins made a surprise appearance on the show.

Rollins was seen wearing crutches and knee braces, a result of an injury he sustained during his singles match against LA Knight on Saturday Night’s Main Event XL last month.

But, in a shocking twist, Rollins threw off his crutches and knee braces and sprinted to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk. He stole the championship from his arch-nemesis, fulfilling his promise never to allow Punk to stay at the top of WWE as long as he was around.

Triple H Is Unhappy With Seth Rollins for Lying to Him

On the post-show media conference, Triple H praised Rollins’ brilliant strategy and execution at the SummerSlam main event. However, he expressed frustration over the fake medical reports and Rollins keeping him in the dark.

“Seth Rollins is playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers,” Triple H said. “He comes out, goes through none of it, and takes the World Heavyweight Championship. My hats off to Seth Rollins, that’s a smart way to do business. Not thrilled about bogus medical reports. But, we’ll deal with that down the line.” [From 1:00:25 – 1:00:44]
