Triple H Reveals John Cena’s WWE Future After In-Ring Retirement

John Cena hung up his boots tonight at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event after a hard-hitting match with The Ring General, Gunther. He wrestled his final match tonight and went out with his head held high.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, came out to the post-show panel and had some interesting words about tonight’s event and spoke on multiple topics, including John Cena’s future with the company.

In a recent interview on WWE’s Youtube channel, Cena revealed that he has signed a five-year ambassador deal with the promotion, indicating that he will still be a part of the company, even after his in-ring retirement.

While talking on the post-show panel, Big E brought up John Cena’s new role for the promotion now that he is officially retired from in-ring competition, and Triple H confirmed what John Cena stated in his interview.

“John Cena’s passion for WWE didn’t end tonight. John Cena’s in-ring career ended tonight, his competitor stature,” Triple H said.

Triple H’s comments assure fans that tonight wasn’t the last time they saw John Cena in the promotion, but only the last time that they saw him compete an official match.
