Triple H Allegedly Nearing Return To WWE TV In New Role

Triple H WWE Performance Center

Triple H is allegedly returning to WWE TV very soon.

2025 has been a rough year for WWE creatively (particularly on SmackDown), and Triple H has been getting the majority of the heat from fans, especially after John Cena’s retirement.
There is a belief that WWE could use this backlash to push a heel turn on TV for the WWE Chief Content Officer. The idea is that the WWE Universe could see HHH return to TV as a powerful heel boss-type character.
Speaking on the Coach and Bro Show, former WWE head writer Vince Russo stated that, based on the aftermath of Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, Triple H’s return to TV might take place very soon.
I have to ask this question with the response he got at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Man, I just have a feeling I think we’re very close to an on-air role. (From 1:20:04)

Triple H Could Be Next Mr. McMahon

Speaking on his YouTube podcast a week ago, Stevie Richards also said the same thing. But he also added that Triple H could return as the next Mr. McMahon on TV.

Triple H is going to be the next Mr. McMahon on TV… The time-honored tradition. He pulled out the Brett screwed Brett interview line from Vince… He did it in the post-show when they booed him, and they chanted.

There’s a time-honored tradition because everybody’s like, “Well, how do you feel about that? Does that bother you or something?” And he went into the time-honored tradition speech. (From 0:59)

All this is pure speculation for now, but WWE has indeed been teasing Triple H’s heel turn very much.
