Triple H Responds To Representation Criticism: “I Don’t See Color”
Triple H is only interested in the story.
Despite WWE’s runaway success, the company has come under fire in recent months for the lack of representation on its Premium Live Events. There have been no Black male performers on any of the last three cards, including Bad Blood, and this hasn’t gone unnoticed.
During the WWE Bad Blood Post-Show Press Conference, Triple H was asked about the issue by TJ Legacy of Soapbox Run the Ropes.
“I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the color. I don’t see the nationality. I don’t see any of it. I just see talent. I don’t see the difference between men and women. I see talent. We tell stories with those talent. How they can handle those stories and how they can represent those stories and how we can bring those stories forward. I don’t keep track of any of that.
I do what’s relevant and what is best and what is being delivered the best. That’s what goes. No different than the men and women, who main events. Whatever the biggest stories are, that’s where we go,”
Triple H Unveils New WWE Championship
During WWE Bad Blood, Triple H announced the creation of the Crown Jewel Championship.
At Crown Jewel the World Heavyweight Champion faces the Undisputed WWE Champion, and the Women’s World Champion meets the WWE Women’s Champion. The winner of each match will be known as the Crown Jewel Champion.
Should things stay the same, this means that at Crown Jewel, Liv Morgan will take on Nia Jax, and Cody Rhodes will clash with Gunther. None of the four titles held by the participants will be up for grabs.
