How Does Triple H Really Feel About WWE Retirement

Triple H WWE

Triple H won’t be lacing up his boots in anger again and now he’s admitted how he really feels about being forced to retire from the ring.

Triple H suffered a serious cardiac event in 2021 that brought his in-ring career to a premature end. The Game’s last match took place in June 2019 when he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe in Tokyo, Japan and it seems that will definitely be the final one of his career.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee asked Triple H if he could return to the ring once again if the story called for it but The Game doesn’t want to risk his wires coming undone:

I don’t think so. I don’t think I should be out there taking bumps around. Like, look, I’ve got a jumpstarter, right? So that’s all good. That’s a backup system if anything goes bad in your life, which could happen to anybody at any given time. So I’ve got a backup system – you don’t want to unplug the wires.

Triple H Rode It Until The Wheels Fell Off

Triple H continued by admitting that he was more than happy to be done with that part of his career and he was at a point where he was going to be calling it a day anyway:

I’m totally good with that. I rode it until the wheels fell off – almost literally. I’m great with that and I was at a place where I should have been retiring anyways. I was in a place in my mind where I wanted to be done with it.

Triple H also gave his thoughts on why he’s happy to miss out on some wrestling stars for WWE with comments some have perceived as a dig at AEW and some of its recent signings.
