Triple H Would Have Quit WWE If Vince McMahon Remained In Charge

Triple H WWE

Triple H is the man in charge of WWE but it seems he could have walked out of the company altogether if Vince McMahon still had control.

In July 2022, Vince McMahon retired from WWE as stories of hush money payments and questionable behaviour came to the fore leaving Triple H, Nick Khan, and Stephanie McMahon to carry on.

By January 2023, however, Vince McMahon forced his way back into total control and Stephanie McMahon soon announced her own departure from the company.

McMahon was in control when Endeavor completed its takeover of WWE in September 2023 but his role as Executive Chairman of TKO was over almost as soon as it began. Vince McMahon was accused of serious sexual abuse in a lawsuit that forced him to resign bringing his official association with WWE to an end.

But according to WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, it could have been Triple H walking away.

Triple H’s WWE Future In Doubt Under Vince McMahon

Speaking on his Kliq This TV, Kevin Nash explained why he thinks Triple H should be considered one of the best ever due to his management of WWE and claimed that his good friend probably would have followed his wife Stephanie McMahon out of the company if Vince McMahon regained total control:

I think one of the reasons is because he’s so good at what he does on a daily basis. As soon as he got his hands on the controls, sh*t changed. The product became, I mean, it just was night and day. Then Vince almost tried to kibosh it and they went through all that sh*t again.

I think at that point if it wouldn’t have went the way it did, I think Paul would have walked. Steph already had. I mean, we never had the conversation, but I know Paul. I mean, I have talked to Paul about some other things. I know some other information that made me feel really good when I heard how Endeavor (TKO) felt about Paul.

Triple H has been widely praised for the creative direction of WWE under his control while the company have touted record-breaking revenue and gates for several major shows in 2024.
