Triple H Pushing For WWE Hall Of Famer To Return
A WWE Hall of Famer has turned down Triple H’s offer to return to the company.
As Triple H’s influence backstage began to grow as his in-ring career wound down, he surrounded himself with long-time friends and respected veterans.
This saw The Game work side by side with William Regal and others through the rise of NXT, before recruiting Shawn Michaels. HBK then took over from Triple H when he suffered major health issues before eventually taking over management of the main roster.
In 2025, this has left Triple H working with Regal and a raft of producers made up of ex-WWE stars on Raw and SmackDown, with Road Dogg working as the blue brand’s Lead Writer, while Michaels is still running NXT.
However, there’s another member of ‘The Kliq’ who has so far resisted the temptation to come back.
During an interview with The Wrestling Classic, Kevin Nash was asked whether he ever saw Triple H and Michaels landing the positions they have. He explained that one The Game gained importance, he was always to bring in Michaels, before revealing that he’s also been asked to get involved.
“No. I knew Triple H. I mean, when I had heard that Triple H was, like, going to production meetings when, like, the nWo was hot. Like, you know, he was in the doghouse. Yeah, he was in the doghouse, actually, at Curtain Call. So, he was a student of it, and Shawn always loved the business.
All it took was, you know, Triple H to get… kind of in the mix. And then he asked Shawn to help. Of course, Shawn did. I was done working by then.
That’s the one thing they say. Come back and announce, and come back and do this, and it’s just like, you got to fly in Sunday to work Monday to leave Tuesday. That’s three days. I mean, you got a job. I don’t want a job.”
Triple H & WWE Making Big Plans For John Cena
According to a new report, Triple H is planning a tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent. There’s a growing belief that Gunther will be the man to eventually retire Cena by the time his last match rolls around.
Cena is set to retire on December 13 at a special Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.
Up next for the 17-time World Champion is a clash with AJ Styles at Crown Jewel on October 11.
